The Frontier Mens Retreat is a few days to get away. It is an opening. It is an invitation. To you. Specifically to your heart from the Father. The invitations are many and varied, as unique as every man. He invites you to quiet. To do some inventory of your heart. He invites you to healing and training. He invites you into a larger story—the Kingdom story. He invites you to come out of hiding and move into deeper waters. He invites you to connect with other men. He invites you to play and rest.
There will be sessions followed by times alone with God. Although themes will be similar to other years, no year is the same. No one is in the same place after a year and we will see and hear things differently from God. We will offer activities during free time including clay shooting, canoes, kayaks, hiking and campfires in the evenings.
Where: Hat Creek Camp, Brookneal. Hammersly Center. It is hotel style rooms. One man to a room unless it is a family member. Bathroom is shared between 2 rooms. Camping is also available for those who want to bring a tent. Space will be limited.
When: October 16-18. Starting Friday at 2 pm and ending after lunch Sunday.
How much: The cost is $150.
What about masks/COVID/safety: LFCN will take necessary steps to be wise about safety this weekend. The rooms will be single occupancy. The seating for dining and sessions will be properly spaced. Masks are required when moving about inside the building. Masks will not be required when seated and spaced inside or outside.
Note, for some reason masks have become a divisive issue in church and society. We are striking the best balance we can with safety. We are men of love and compassion and will honor our brothers who are higher risk or who have high risk family members with this plan. Our call as followers of Christ is to submit to one another out of love and set our hearts on things above. Let’s do that!
